Afternoon Tea Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 oz. butter
2 oz. raisins
2 oz. sugar
2 oz. mixed peel
2 oz. sultanas
pinch of salt
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk (approximately)
Preparation

Sift flour and baking powder.
Add sugar and salt.
Rub in butter.
Add fruit and mix.
Add eggs and sufficient milk to make stiff dough.
Turn dough onto lightly floured board.
Knead until surface next to board is smooth.
Roll out to about 1/2-inch thick and cut into squares or with a cutter.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Serve hot with butter, jam and whipped cream.
