Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb.) cans cut green beans, drained
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
    1 tsp. Beau Monde
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 stack pkg. Ritz crackers, rolled to fine crumbs
    melted butter
Preparation
    Grease 1 to 2-quart baking dish liberally with butter.
    Cover sides and bottom of buttered dish with half of the Ritz crumbs. Place in layers:
    beans, cheese, onion and water chestnuts.
    Makes 2 layers.
    Cover with mushroom soup.
    Top with remaining Ritz cracker crumbs.
    Drizzle 3 or 4 tablespoons melted butter over crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 10 to 12 people.
