Grandma Krup'S Christmas Candy Cane Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. margarine
    2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    3 tsp. almond extract
    1 tsp. peppermint extract
    2 eggs
    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. red food coloring
Preparation
    Mix margarine, eggs, flavorings and sugars.
    Add flour with salt.
    Divide dough in half.
    Put red food coloring in 1/2 dough. Use a little confectioners sugar and a little flour to make dough less sticky and break into small balls.
    Roll out like a stick; do white and red sticks, then twist together.
    Put on baking pan. Bake until light brown at 375\u00b0 (about 9 to 12 minutes).
    Makes 4 dozen.
