Oven Baked Eggnog French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) loaf French bread, sliced, then cut in half lengthwise
    4 eggs
    1 c. half and half
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    About 45 minutes before serving, cut French bread crosswise into 16 slices, arranging on a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet; overlap if necessary.
    Mix next 4 ingredients with eggs.
    Pour over bread, turning slices occasionally to absorb all liquid. Arrange slices on greased cookie sheets and bake at 500\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
    Serves 8.
