Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1 c. bananas, mashed
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy.
Add bananas and eggs and beat well.
Mix and sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and vanilla to sugar mixture.
Add nuts last.
Bake in 2 (9-inch) layer pans which have been greased.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Frost with favorite icing.
