Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
    1 stick of butter or margarine, softened
    2 egg yolks
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp each of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg
    1/2 cup milk
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff with 1/4 cup sugar (white)
    1 pastry shell
Preparation
    Mix first 6 ingredients.
    Add milk.
    Fold in beaten whites. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake until firm.
    Nutmeg and a little white sugar may be sprinkled on top before baking if desired.
