Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. nuts
    1 c. maraschino cherries
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. dates, cut up
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix nuts, dates and cherries.
    In another bowl, mix dry ingredients.
    Mix and add to fruit mixture.
    Beat eggs until frothy; stir in vanilla.
    Fold in fruit mixture.
    Mix well.
    Pour into greased and waxed loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inches.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 50 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan before removing to wire rack.
