Shrimp Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large chopped onions
    2 chopped bell peppers
    1 c. oil
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    black pepper and cayenne pepper to taste
    1/2 c. chopped green onion tops
    3 lb. peeled and deveined shrimp
    1/2 c. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    6 c. water
    5 tsp. salt
    2 bay leaves
    4 c. uncooked rice
Preparation
    Saute onions and bell peppers in oil until clear.
    Add tomato sauce and paste; cook on low heat for 1 hour.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir well and bring to a boil.
    Then reduce heat to simmer and cover.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Do not lift lid during last hour.
