Beefed-Up Biscuit Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. green peppers
    1 c. tomato sauce
    2 tsp. chili powder
    garlic salt
    1 can refrigerated biscuits
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, onion and peppers.
    Stir in sauce, chili powder and salt.
    Simmer while preparing dough.
    Separate each biscuit in halves and press 1/2 over bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Combine 1/2 cup cheese (reserve remaining 1 cup for top), sour cream and eggs and mix well.
    Remove meat mixture from heat; stir in sour cream mixture and spoon over dough.
    Arrange remaining biscuits on top.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
