Raw Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. red peppers
    1 qt. cabbage
    1 pt. green peppers
    1 pt. onion (scant)
    2 or 3 hot peppers
    5 Tbsp. salt
    4 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    4 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Chop vegetables; mix with salt.
    Let stand 4 hours.
    Drain out most of the juice.
    Add rest of ingredients; stir well.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Do not cook.
    Seal in jars.
    Let stand about 2 weeks before use.
