Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. King syrup
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine the first 3 ingredients and blend well.
    Set aside. Sift the remaining ingredients together.
    Add 1/4 cup butter with dry ingredients to a crumb consistency.
    Line a 9-inch plate with pastry and put 1/2 crumb mixture over pastry.
    Add molasses mixture and sprinkle remainder of crumbs on top.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 25 minutes.
