Ruth'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 pats butter
    2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 1/2 to 2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients on high until it spins a thread from spoon.
    Add 1 pat of butter and peanuts.
    Boil about 7 minutes until peanuts smell and liquid has become golden brown color.
    Add soda and salt quickly.
    Stir in pat of butter and start dipping out with metal ladle into 7 to 9-inch buttered aluminum pie pans. Shake evenly out.
    (Helps if someone will shake down while the other pours out the mixture.)
