Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk

Preparation

Cream shortening; add brown sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and beat.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour milk, starting and ending with flour mixture.
Bake in 9-inch greased and floured square pan or Bundt pan at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour. When cake cools, glaze with mixture of coffee and confectioners sugar.
