Dark Nut Date Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chopped dates
    1 1/2 c. hot strong coffee
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add butter and salt to hot coffee and soak dates; let cool. Add sugar, eggs, flour, soda, vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into two 9 x 4 1/4 x 3-inch loaf pans which have been greased and lined with wax paper.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/4 hours.
