Vichyssoise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. sweet butter
    8 large leeks, thinly sliced
    1 large yellow onion, sliced
    8 medium all-purpose potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
    6 c. rich chicken stock *
    1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    3 c. milk
    4 1/2 c. heavy cream
    fresh pepper to taste
    1/2 c. snipped fresh chives
Preparation
    *Reduce 8 to 10 cups chicken stock to 6.
