Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    4 oz. can chopped green chiles
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can hominy (undrained)
    3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
    1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans (undrained)
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cook the ground beef in a plastic colander placed in a glass bowl on High in your microwave until brown.
    Leaving the beef in the colander, rinse with warm water to remove as much fat as possible.
    In a stew pot, mix the drained beef with all remaining ingredients; ;simmer for 30 minutes.
    Serves 12.
