Pasta With Broccoli Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch broccoli
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1 1/2 Tbsp. crushed garlic
    1/2 c. chicken broth
    1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    8 to 12 oz. store bought fettucini or mostaccioli
    3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut stalk and stems off broccoli.
    Steam flowerets until crisp-tender.
    Drain.
    Heat olive oil in medium saucepan.
    Saute garlic until pale golden.
    Add chicken broth and butter.
    Stir in basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
    Cook pasta as directed: drain. Stir in broccoli mixture with cooked pasta.
    Place cooked pasta in large bowl.
    Add Parmesan cheese and toss well.
    Serves 6 as a side dish, 4 as a main dish.
