Mary Lee'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. safflower oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
    28 oz. water
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste and 6 oz. water
    1/2 tsp. sweet basil
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil.
    Just before light brown, add minced garlic.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    If too thick, add water to proper consistency.
