7 Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, sugar, tartar and water in top of double boiler.
    Beat on high speed 1 minute.
    Place over boiling water and beat on high for 7 minutes.
    Remove from pan of water.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes longer on high.
    Frosts two (9-inch) layers.
