Stewed Corn And Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 ears fresh corn, cut off cub
    3 fresh tomatoes, chopped
    3/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    fresh or dried basil to taste
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Score each row of kernels, then cut corn off of cob and scrape cob.
    In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
    Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
    Serves 8.
