Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. fresh berries
    9-inch baked shell
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Crush berries; add sugar and water and cook 2 minutes and strain.
    Add cornstarch and cook until clear.
    Add butter and food coloring.
    Pour over after the glaze has cooled down, then serve with Cool Whip, if desired.
