Mex-Chili Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 lb. ground turkey
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. diced peppers
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. crushed tomatoes
    2 c. cooked elbow macaroni
    4 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    chopped green chili peppers
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan (or large skillet), heat oil.
    Add onions and garlic.
    Saute until soft.
    Add turkey, peppers and taco seasoning.
    Cook until done (3 minutes), stirring to break up meat.
    Sprinkle chili powder, salt and pepper.
    Continue to cook and stir.
    Stir in tomatoes.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in macaroni and transfer to 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Bake covered 45 minutes.
    Remove cover; sprinkle with cheese and heat 5 minutes before serving.
