Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 c. lukewarm water
    6 c. sifted flour (sift flour before measuring)
    6 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Add sugar and salt.
    Dissolve yeast in well. Add melted shortening and remaining flour, using only enough flour to make dough handle well.
    Knead until smooth.
    Place in a greased bowl; set in warm place to rise until double in bulk. Make into rolls.
    This can also be refrigerated and made into rolls the next day.
