Baked Squash, The American Way - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium yellow squash
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 small onion, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Wash and cut squash in small pieces. Cook in small amount of water until tender, but still slightly firm. Drain. Add milk slowly to mayonnaise, stirring constantly. Add grated cheese, onion and seasonings. Put squash in casserole dish and pour sauce over it. Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown on top or until firm in the center of casserole, about 25 to 30 minutes.
