Coconut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 c. sifted flour
    2 eggs, unbeaten
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Have butter at room temperature.
    Beat first 3 ingredients at No. 3 speed until well blended.
    Press firmly into prepared pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Do not brown.
    Beat next 6 ingredients on No. 8 speed about 2 minutes.
    Add nuts. Spread over partially baked batter. Sprinkle with coconut.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 about 25 minutes.
    Cut into bars while warm.
    Cool in pan.
    Makes 2 dozen cookies.
