Tomato Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 lb. pork chops and sausage
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 tsp. basil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 lb. beef chuck
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Heat oil, add onion and garlic and cook until lightly brown. Add meat and brown on both sides. Add tomatoes and paste, salt, pepper, basil and bay leaf.
    Cover saucepan and simmer over very low heat for about 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    If sauce becomes too thick, add 1/2 cup water.
