Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. self-rising meal
1 c. buttermilk
2 whole eggs
2/3 c. Wesson oil
1 c. cream-style corn
2 Tbsp. green pepper
1 chopped hot pepper
1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together, except cheese.
Pour half of this mixture into a very hot greased pan or iron skillet. Sprinkle cheese over mixture, then pour remaining mixture over cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Serve hot.
