Mandarin Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    11 oz. can mandarin oranges
    6 to 8 chicken thighs, skin removed
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    butter to brown
    garlic salt to taste
Preparation
    Drain oranges and reserve 1/2 cup juice. Add soy sauce to orange juice. Add onion and cornstarch to mixture. Stir up well. Brown chicken pieces in butter and garlic salt.
    Add sauce and simmer with lid for 30 minutes. Add a little water if it thickens too much.
    About 5 minutes before serving, add oranges and pepper. Replace lid and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
