Rum Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. rum
    1 1/4 c. chopped almonds
    1 1/4 c. golden raisins
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie mix
    1 c. whipped cream
    1 angel food cake
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    sliced almonds
    maraschino cherries to garnish
Preparation
    Pour rum over nuts and raisins and let stand 1 hour.
    Prepare vanilla pudding according to package, except use 4 1/2 cups milk. Cool.
    Beat 1 cup whipping cream; fold into pudding.
