Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. Hudson Cream self-rising flour
1/3 to 1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. melted shortening
1 egg
Preparation

Beat egg until smooth; add milk and melted shortening.
Mix thoroughly.
Pour this into flour and mix to a very soft dough. Drop by spoonfuls onto broiling broth
or slightly thickened stew. Cover tightly and cook 10 to 14 minutes depending on size of dumplings.
