Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine the flour and salt.
    Cut in shortening; add buttermilk and stir until well blended.
    Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness on a floured surface.
    Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
    Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Yields about 1 dozen biscuits.
