Lemon Crackers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. baking ammonia (found at your pharmacy)
    8 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. oil of lemon
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening,
    milk, eggs, salt, lemon oil and ammonia.
    Add flour until stiff.
    Chill 2 hours.
    Roll out until it is 1/4 inch thick on floured board.
    Cut as desired and poke with fork.
    Bake until light brown, about 8 minutes.
    Store in covered containers.
