Buttercream Frosting(Makes About 3 Cups) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick)
    6 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    red food coloring
Preparation
    Cream butter until soft in medium size bowl; add sugar gradually, alternating with cream, blending well after each addition.
    Stir in salt and vanilla.
    Take out 1 1/2 cups for white frosting; tint remaining pale pink with red food coloring.
