Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cocoa
1 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar and cocoa together.
Add salt and boiling water. Bring to a boil over moderate heat.
Boil for 3 minutes.
Add vanilla.
Be very careful; it burns easily and will boil over very quickly.
Makes about 1 pint of sauce.
It will keep in the refrigerator for a long while.
