Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese (1/2 mild, 1/2 sharp)
    3/4 lb. butter or margarine (3 sticks)
    4 c. self-rising flour
    cayenne pepper to taste
Preparation
    Have all ingredients at room temperature.
    Cream butter; add cheese and blend well.
    Sift dry ingredients and add gradually to butter cheese mixture.
    Roll dough into long rolls 1 inch in diameter.
    Refrigerate dough for several hours or overnight. Slice into 1/4-inch rounds.
    Place on cookie sheet (ungreased). Bake at 450\u00b0 for 8 minutes or until slightly brown or not quite brown at all!
