Savory Crescent Chicken Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    2 c. cooked, cubed chicken
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion or chives
    1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury crescent rolls
    3/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 tablespoons margarine (save 1 tablespoon until smooth).
    Add next 6 ingredients and mix well.
    Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles.
    Firmly press perforations to seal.
    Spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture onto center of each square.
    Pull the corners of dough to top center of meat mixture, twist slightly and seal edges.
    Brush tops with reserved margarine.
    Dip in crushed croutons.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    Makes 4 servings.
