Christmas Logs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. chopped dates
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla
    Rice Krispies
    coconut
Preparation
    Melt butter; add sugar, eggs, pecans and dates.
    Bring to a slow boil.
    Cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
    Add vanilla, then pour over Rice Krispies.
    Mix well.
    When cool enough, shape into logs and roll in coconut.
    Chill for 1 hour.
