Apple Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. chopped apples
3/4 c. chopped nuts
ice cream (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter in a mixing bowl; add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir into egg mixture.
Batter will be stiff.
Add chopped nuts and apples.
Pour into greased and floured 8-inch square pan.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
