"Ole Time" Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, sliced
    3 large onions, sliced
    1/2 lb. cheese, grated
    1 can mushroom soup with 1/2 c. water
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Using a 2-quart casserole dish, layer potatoes, salt and pepper, onion and cheese.
    Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, making sure potatoes are last layer.
    Heat soup and water; mix well.
    Pour over potato mixture.
    Bake, covered, for 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Take out and sprinkle cheese on top.
