White Christmas Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 envelope Knox gelatine
    1 3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. shredded coconut
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. whipped cream or whipped topping
Preparation
    Blend 1/2 cup sugar, flour and gelatine.
    Stir in milk.
    Cook, stirring constantly, over
    medium heat, just to boiling.
    Chill in refrigerator; stir occasionally until mixture mounds when dropped by spoon.
    Stir in flavorings.
    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy.
    Slowly add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff and glossy.
    Don't overbeat!
    Fold in whipped cream and coconut.
    Pile into prepared pie shell.
    Chill 4 hours or longer.
    Very good served with crushed strawberries or raspberries.
