Leola'S Strawberry Upside Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. strawberries
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 egg yolk (save white)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    Place strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar in bottom of well greased pan.
    Make a batter of 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk, butter, sugar, flour, baking powder.
    This batter is thick.
    Bake approximately 1 hour at 350\u00b0 or until cake is firm.
    Beat egg while stiff and put meringue on top and brown in 350\u00b0 oven.
