Maple Syrup Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. cornmeal
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    3/4 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Stir until well blended, but do not beat.
    Pour into a well-greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake for 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Cut into squares and serve warm with butter.
