Ingredients

1 (No. 2) can whole beets
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. vinegar
3 or 4 whole cloves
Preparation

Drain beets and reserve the liquid.
In a pan, combine the liquid, sugar, vinegar and cloves.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Pour liquid over beets.
Cool and refrigerate.
