Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. nutmeats
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix first four ingredients together and save out 1 cup for top.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well and put in regular cake pan.
    Put the cup of crumbs on top.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven.
