pastry for one-crust 9-inch pie
36 caramels (chocolate or regular)
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan halves
Preparation

On a lightly floured surface, roll pastry to a 12-inch circle. Place in a 9-inch plate.
Turn under edge; flute.
