Dump It Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple (drain a little)
    1 (21 oz.) can peach or cherry pie filling
    1 box yellow cake mix *
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 sticks butter
Preparation
    Spread pineapple on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Put pie filling on top of pineapple layer.
    Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of fruit.
    Sprinkle nuts on top of cake mix.
    Cut butter into 6 slices lengthwise.
    Place the 12 slices of butter on top of the nuts.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
