Wild Violet Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. wild violet blossoms *
    1 1/2 c. water, divided
    juice of 1 medium lime
    2 1/3 c. sugar
    1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. pectin
Preparation
    *Be sure to use the common wild purple violet, not the American violet (often grown as a houseplant).
