Lo-Cal Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 (10 oz.) box frozen chopped broccoli or equivalent fresh broccoli
    1 c. chicken broth
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    dash of pepper
    2 tsp. or less salt
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 3/4 c. 2% milk
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Bring chicken broth, butter, salt and pepper to a boil.
    Add finely chopped onion and broccoli; simmer 10 minutes.
    Mix flour and cold water until flour is dissolved.
    Add to boiling broth. Stir until it returns to a slow boil.
    Add milk.
    Do not allow to boil.
    Serves 4.
