Barbecued Frankfurters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. frankfurters
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Slash frankfurters every inch.
Brown frankfurters in shortening.
Add chopped onion and chili powder; cook until onion is tender.
Stir in tomato soup and water; simmer a few minutes. Stir now and then.
Just before serving, add some pickle chips if you like.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
This recipe is great for picnics!
