Down South Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1/3 to 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 egg
    3 to 4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook
    chicken and debone (save broth).\tMelt shortening in boiling
    water.
    Add beaten egg, salt and flour.
    Mix well, using the amount of
    flour
    needed
    until
    dough\tis
    easy
    to handle, not sticky.
    Cover\twith plate for about 30 minutes in refrigerator.
